Medical Disclaimer

Babypino shares general information to help parents feel prepared. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

General information only

The content on Babypino, including guides about health, feeding, sleep, skin and development, is for general information. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not replace the advice of your doctor, pediatrician, midwife, health visitor or pharmacist.

Every baby is different

Guidance can vary by country, and your baby's needs may differ from general advice because of their age, health, history or other circumstances. Always follow the advice of the professionals who know your baby.

When to get help

If you are worried about your baby's health, contact your doctor or local health service. Do not delay seeking advice, or ignore advice you have been given, because of something you read on Babypino.

In an emergency, call your local emergency number straight away. In the Netherlands and across Europe, that is 112. For urgent but non-emergency advice outside office hours, contact your out-of-hours GP service.

Medicines and products

Always read the product leaflet and check doses with a doctor or pharmacist before giving any medicine to a baby. Mentions of products or medicines are not a recommendation for your individual child.

Our sources

We base our guides on guidance from recognised health organisations, such as the NHS, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the CDC and the World Health Organization. Read our editorial standards to learn how we write and review our content.
