Sleep and nursery recalls
Papablic convertible bedside sleepers (October 15, 2026)
- Product: Papablic bedside sleepers with play yard extensions, model PAPA03001AI, gray outside with a stars-and-moon print inside. The model number is on a label sewn to the interior fabric under the mattress pad. About 248 units, sold on Amazon.com and papablic.com from April 2025 through July 2026.
- Hazard (CPSC): The sleepers violate the federal safety standard for play yards. The mattress can become displaced, and a baby can become entrapped between the sleeping pad and the bottom, a deadly suffocation hazard. In addition, the latching and locking mechanism can fail, causing the product to collapse, with a risk of serious injury or deadly entrapment and fall hazards.
- What to do (CPSC): Stop using the sleeper immediately and contact Papablic for a refund. Papablic will ask you to disassemble it, cut the mattress and fabric parts in half and email photos of the destroyed parts.

PILLANI nursing pillows (October 29, 2026)
- Product: U-shaped PILLANI nursing pillows with a smaller pillow attached on top and an adjustable waist strap, sold in many colors and prints. The label shows model NP4351 and batch number 202604, 202605 or 202606. About 25,762 units, sold on Amazon.com from April through September 2026.
- Hazard (CPSC): The pillows violate the federal safety standard for nursing pillows because they can obstruct an infant’s breathing, posing a risk of serious injury or death from suffocation.
- What to do (CPSC): Stop using the pillow immediately and contact PILLANI for a full refund. You will be asked to send a photo of the product and will get disposal instructions.

Whatever brand you own, a nursing pillow is for feeding while you are awake, never for sleep. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) advises a firm, flat, level sleep surface with nothing else in it; see our safe sleep guide.
Feeding recalls
Costway convertible high chairs (October 22, 2026)
- Product: Costway high chairs that convert into a table and chair set, in color combinations such as purple and white, red and white, blue and white, and brown and white. There is no tracking information on the product. About 3,332 units, sold at Walmart and Target stores and on Costway.com from May 2023 through July 2026.
- Hazard (CPSC): The high chairs violate the federal safety standard for high chairs because they have no passive restraint system: a child can slip through the opening between the tray and the seat and become entrapped or fall.
- What to do (CPSC): Stop using the high chair immediately and contact Costway for a free replacement high chair. Costway asks for a receipt or photo and sends a prepaid label to return the recalled chair.

Bath recalls
ONTHEWEI baby bath seats (October 8, 2026)
- Product: ONTHEWEI baby bath seats in gray, pink, blue and mist green, with detachable restraint arms and suction cups underneath. The back label reads “Model No: MY002” and a manufacture date of 2026/1/10. About 2,140 units, sold on Amazon.com in April 2026.
- Hazard (CPSC): The bath seats violate the federal standard for infant bath seats because they are unstable and can tip over while in use, posing a risk of serious injury or death from drowning.
- What to do (CPSC): Stop using the bath seat immediately and contact ONTHEWEI for a full refund. You will be asked to mark it “RECALLED,” take it apart, cut the suction cups and send a photo.

With any bath seat or tub, stay within arm’s reach the whole time; a bath seat is not a safety device. Our guide to bathing a 6-month-old covers bath safety step by step.
Toy and small-item recalls: button batteries, magnets and water beads
These items are not all baby products, but each hazard matters most for babies and toddlers who put things in their mouths. The CPSC warns that swallowed button batteries can cause internal chemical burns, swallowed high-powered magnets can attract each other inside the gut, and swallowed water beads can expand and block the intestines.
- BAMAMON LED projecting finger light toys (October 22): 32-piece boxes of space-themed finger lights with three button cell batteries each; violate the toy standard (battery ingestion). Stop using them and contact Bamamon. CPSC notice
- CIYTI light-up princess costumes (October 22): the crown, wand and remote have button batteries that children can reach easily. Take them away from children and contact the seller for a full refund. The CPSC notes that button batteries should be disposed of or recycled under local hazardous waste rules. CPSC notice
- Giant Bicycle LED-light keys sold with some SureLock bike lock sets (October 8): the button battery in the key is easy for children to reach. Stop using the LED key and bring it to an authorized Giant retailer for a refund. CPSC notice
- GBYMIUY magnetic stick figure toy sets (October 1): 30-piece packs of figures with magnets in the hands and feet that can come loose. Take them away from children and contact GBYMIUY for a full refund. CPSC notice
- The Conqueror Avengers Infinity Gauntlet medals (October 8): high-powered magnets may detach. Stop using the medal and contact The Conqueror for a refund or replacement. CPSC notice
- ABC Trading Squishy Dumpling and Crazy Squib Ball toys (October 1): the water beads inside expand larger than the toy standard allows. Stop using them and contact ABC Trading for a full refund. CPSC notice

Around the house
- Dressers that can tip over: Romorgniz six-drawer dressers (October 8), SOOWERY 8-drawer fabric dressers and Yinklev Jocoevol 6-drawer dressers (both October 29). The CPSC says they are unstable if not anchored to the wall and violate the STURDY Act standard. If yours is not anchored, stop using it, move it where children cannot reach it and contact the company for a refund. CPSC notice: Romorgniz
- SOOWERY 8-drawer fabric dresser, SKU SOO-8DD-G01: CPSC notice: SOOWERY
- Yinklev Jocoevol 6-drawer dresser, model C-0633: CPSC notice: Yinklev
- RootStim minoxidil hair regrowth products (October 29): foam, spray and serum bottles that are not child-resistant, a poisoning risk if young children swallow the contents. Put them out of sight and reach of children right away and contact RootStim for a replacement. CPSC notice
- Primark 101 Dalmatians faux leather children’s coin purses (October 15): higher phthalate levels; the CPSC notes young children can be exposed by mouthing. Keep them away from children and return them to a Primark store for a refund. CPSC notice
How to check your own baby gear in 5 minutes
- Find the brand, model number and batch or date code on each product label (often under a mattress pad, on the back of a seat or inside a drawer).
- Search the brand and product name on the CPSC recall list.
- Register new baby gear with the manufacturer so they can contact you directly about a recall.
- Car seats are recalled by NHTSA, not the CPSC: check yours at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
- Formula, baby food and medicines are covered by the FDA, not the CPSC.
- Do not sell, donate or pass on a recalled product; follow the remedy in the notice instead.
When to call a doctor or Poison Control
- Call 911 right away if your child may have swallowed a button battery or magnets, or has trouble breathing. The CPSC warns that swallowed button batteries can cause internal chemical burns and death, and swallowed magnets can become lodged in the digestive system.
- Call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 if your child may have swallowed a medicine or a product like minoxidil.
- Call your pediatrician if your child was hurt by a fall from a high chair, bed or dresser, or if you are unsure whether something was swallowed.
